1994年本科毕业于北京师范大学数学系，1999年获北京师范大学理学博士学位

1999年-至今毕业后留校工作至今。曾任北京师范大学数学系党总支副书记，现任数学科学学院副院长。入选教育部2010年度新世纪优秀人才支持计划。主要从事矩阵论及应用方面的研究工作。

某些矩阵的元素分布具有位移不变性，我们把这样的矩阵称为位移结构矩阵。近期主要研究位移结构矩阵的理论及其在多项式惯性与稳定性，函数插值，矩阵快速计算等问题中的应用。
